Getting some “me time”

As parents we can end up giving 100% to everyone around us, which leaves us with no time left for ourselves. Everyone needs a little time and space for themselves sometimes, even if it’s only 10 minutes to drink a hot cup of tea in peace!

You could try setting yourself a goal to do something for yourself at least once a week. It might be something as simple as taking a nice hot bubble bath once your baby is asleep, or something more involved that requires someone on babysitting duties.

Relaxation exercises or meditation are worth considering as they will help to de-stress you and could take just a few minutes. This NHS site suggests more ways to relieve stress.

Only you know what will rejuvenate you and what is achievable.
